LCJFS announces March 14 Tornado Disaster Assistance
Licking County Job and Family Services (LCJFS) announces the availability of Disaster Assistance for low-income, Licking County residents affected by the tornadoes on March 14, 2024. Applications for assistance are available now through the close of business April 15, 2024. Funds are limited. For additional information or to apply, please contact LCJFS at 740.670.8710. Applicants shall provide income verification, social security numbers for members of the household, and verification of damage or loss sustained due to the March 14 tornadoes.
You may be eligible for disaster assistance if you meet the following guidelines. If you are a Licking County resident and your Gross household income is at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guideline, and you provide verification of loss or damage sustained due to the tornadoes on March 14, 2024, and you are a parent or legal guardian with minor child/ren in the home or a pregnant woman, or you are 55 years old or older with no dependent children, or you are receiving Social Security Income, Social Security Disability or other disability assistance, with no dependent children.
Possible verifications of disaster/loss related expenses could be emergency shelter, replacement or repair of necessary household items or appliances, vehicle repairs, auto insurance deductibles, transportation, repairs related to damage caused by the specific disaster, homeowners insurance deductible for disaster related damages, rent/security deposit due to necessary relocation, or utilities & utility deposit for new service. This is not an inclusive list.
